What This Blog Is For
Patients who contact DentReal from abroad tend to ask the same good questions. How do I know whether a clinic is reliable? Should I choose veneers or crowns? What happens if something goes wrong after I fly home? How long do implants really last? The answers rarely fit into a WhatsApp message, so we write them down here.
Our articles are written for people deciding about their own teeth, not for search engines. Where there is a genuine trade-off, we describe it. Where a cheaper or simpler treatment would work as well as an expensive one, we say so. And where we think a treatment that is popular online is a poor idea, we explain why.
Topics We Cover
- Planning treatment in Turkey: how to compare clinics, what to ask before you book, how many days to allow, what documentation to bring home.
- Implant dentistry: single implants, All-on-4 and All-on-6, bone grafting, immediate loading, and long-term care.
- Aesthetic dentistry: veneers versus crowns versus bonding, choosing a shade, what a Hollywood smile does and does not involve, and how to keep the result.
- Everyday oral health: whitening, sensitivity, gum health, grinding, and the habits that make expensive dentistry last.
- Life in Konya: practical notes on getting here, where to stay near the clinic in Selçuklu and what to do between appointments.
A Note on Medical Information
Everything on this blog is general information based on current dental literature and our clinical experience. It is not a diagnosis and cannot replace an examination. Teeth that look identical in a photograph can need very different treatment once an X-ray is taken. If you have a question about your own case, send us a photo on WhatsApp and a dentist will answer you personally, usually the same day.
We also welcome suggestions. If there is a question you could not find a clear answer to anywhere, tell us and we will write about it.
How Our Articles Are Written
Each article starts with a question we have been asked in the clinic. A dentist drafts the answer, our specialist prosthodontist reviews the clinical content, and we check the facts against current dental literature. Where we quote figures, such as implant survival rates or the lifespan of veneers, they come from published long-term studies rather than marketing material. We revise articles when materials or techniques change, and the date at the top of each one tells you when it was last reviewed.
We do not accept sponsored content, and no article on this blog is written to promote a specific product. Where we mention a material or brand, it is because we use it and can explain why.
Reader Questions
Can I ask a question that is not covered here?
Yes. Send it on WhatsApp or through the contact form. A dentist will answer you directly, and if the question is one that other patients are likely to share, we will write it up as an article.
Are the treatment prices mentioned in articles current?
We deliberately avoid quoting exact prices in articles, because they depend on your case and change over time. For a current estimate, send your photographs or X-ray on WhatsApp and you will receive a personal quote.
Can I share or translate these articles?
You are welcome to share links to any article. If you would like to reproduce or translate an article for a non-commercial purpose, please contact us for permission and credit DentReal Dental Clinic as the source.
